Refund Policy
Last updated: 24 July 2026
This Refund Policy applies to payments made on https://www.giglearn.in/, operated by Nexbridge Ventures Pvt. Ltd. ("GigLearn"). Payments on the Platform are made by Businesses to fund paid gigs performed by Students. Students do not pay GigLearn to register, learn, or apply for gigs.
1. What Payments Are Covered
Refunds relate to amounts a Business pays through the Platform (via Razorpay) to fund a gig posting — gig budget + Business platform fee + GST on that fee — including any paid top-ups. As Students are not charged, no Student-side refunds arise.
Student wallet earnings, once credited after gig completion, are not reversed through this Policy.
2. Who Initiates a Refund
Posting refunds are initiated by GigLearn (admin). Businesses may request a refund by contacting support and may view posting-refund history in the product where available. Businesses cannot force an automatic Razorpay refund from the dashboard alone.
3. When a Posting Refund May Be Issued
Subject to GigLearn review, a Business posting payment may be refunded where:
- the gig is still in draft or approval stages — including pending, rejected, or declined — and payment was collected; or
- the gig is live (open) but no Student has been assigned and no work submissions exist; or
- GigLearn determines a refund is appropriate for duplicate or erroneous payment, operational cancellation, or a similar case after verification.
After a Student is assigned or work has been submitted, standard posting refund eligibility is restricted. Non-delivery, quality disputes and mid-engagement issues are handled case-by-case through GigLearn's dispute process, not as an automatic full refund.
Where a gig is cancelled after a Student has begun work, GigLearn will determine a fair outcome having regard to the work actually performed, which may include partial payment to the Student and partial refund to the Business. Decreasing a gig budget after payment does not by itself trigger an automatic refund; GigLearn must process any money movement separately.
4. Refund Amount — Standard Rule
Where GigLearn issues a posting refund, the amount returned is calculated as follows:
- Start from the gross amount collected for the relevant Razorpay order(s) — budget + Business platform fee + GST on that fee, as paid.
- GigLearn retains a payment processing fee of approximately 2% of that gross, as applied on the Platform, plus GST on that processing fee.
- The remaining amount is refunded to the Business's original payment method via Razorpay.
Example (illustrative): If ₹1,080 was collected, approximately ₹22 processing fee + ₹4 GST (₹26 total) may be retained, and approximately ₹1,054 refunded. Exact figures follow Platform configuration and rounding.
5. When the Full Gross Is Refunded
The processing-fee retention in §4 does not apply, and the full gross amount is refunded, where:
- GigLearn rejects or declines the gig at review, so the Business never received a live listing;
- GigLearn cancels the gig for operational, technical or legal reasons not caused by the Business;
- the payment was a duplicate or erroneous charge; or
- GigLearn otherwise agrees in writing that the retention should be waived.
In all other cases the retention in §4 applies and is not waived by cancellation type, request channel, or reason.
6. When Refunds Do Not Apply or Are Limited
- Once work has been delivered, accepted, and the Student earning credited, the gig budget portion is not returned through the posting-refund flow.
- After assignment or submission, posting refund may be blocked; any commercial adjustment is admin-mediated under §3.
- Refunds will not be issued where there is evidence of misuse, fraud, or circumvention of the Platform.
- Cancelling a gig status alone does not move money; a refund occurs only when GigLearn processes a posting refund under this Policy. See also the Cancellation Policy.
7. How to Request a Refund
Email team@giglearn.in with your registered account details, the gig or transaction ID, and the reason for the request. We may ask for supporting information. You may also use in-app support where available.
8. Processing Time
After GigLearn approves and initiates the refund with Razorpay, funds are typically returned to the original payment method within 7–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
