Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Nexbridge Ventures Pvt. Ltd. ("GigLearn", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use https://www.giglearn.in/ and the GigLearn platform. We handle your data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") and other applicable Indian laws. Use of the Platform is also governed by our Terms & Conditions.
1. Information We Collect
- Account data: name, email, phone number, college and year (if provided), profile details, and login credentials.
- Verification data (Students applying for paid gigs): College ID upload and bank account details with a supporting bank document, reviewed manually by GigLearn. We do not currently collect Aadhaar or PAN for Student verification. We do not use automated third-party KYC for College ID or bank review.
- Business data: company details, contact information, optional GST number, gig requirements, and onboarding status.
- Usage data: courses and learning activity, skill tests, gig applications and assignments, submissions, chat messages, Gig Points, certificates, support tickets, and device/log data needed to operate the service.
- Payment & billing data: Business checkout and refunds processed by Razorpay; Platform invoices and receipts; Student wallet balances and withdrawal requests. We do not store full card numbers or sensitive payment-instrument credentials.
- Consent records: acceptance of Terms, Privacy, Refund and Cancellation policies, and the age (18+) declaration.
- Marketing preferences: optional marketing email opt-in, separate from required legal consents.
Verification status. Email addresses are verified by OTP. Phone numbers are collected but are not currently verified by OTP. College ID and bank documents are verified by manual human review only.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account and provide the Platform's services.
- To verify Students manually (College ID and bank details) and to process gig payments, wallet credits and withdrawals.
- To onboard and approve Businesses, match Students with gigs, and run submission and dispute workflows.
- To issue certificates and invoices where applicable.
- To communicate transactional updates and support responses; marketing only with your consent.
- To detect fraud, enforce our Terms, and comply with legal obligations.
3. How We Share Information
We share data only as needed:
- with Businesses — relevant Student details for an accepted or assigned gig;
- with service providers — payment processing and refunds via Razorpay, hosting, object storage for documents and certificates, email delivery for OTPs and notifications, and analytics where used;
- with authorities where required by law.
College IDs and bank documents are reviewed manually in-house and are not sent to a third-party identity-verification vendor. Razorpay is used for Business payments and posting refunds, not for validating Student bank details.
We do not sell your personal data.
4. Payment Information
Business payments and posting refunds are processed through Razorpay and are subject to Razorpay's terms and privacy policy in addition to ours. Student withdrawals are processed by GigLearn following a wallet withdrawal request. GigLearn does not store sensitive card instrument data.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described, or as required by law.
- Verification documents (College ID, bank document) are retained for review, audit and payout-related needs, and may be replaced where the product allows re-upload.
- After verification we retain status and review metadata, and the bank identifiers needed to process payouts.
- Transaction, invoice and tax records are retained as required under applicable financial and tax regulations.
- If you delete your account, associated personal data is deleted or anonymised, other than records we are required by law to retain.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect your data, including private storage for verification documents. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Breach notification. In the event of a personal data breach, we will intimate each affected Data Principal without undue delay and report the breach to the Data Protection Board of India within the timelines prescribed under the DPDP Act, 2023 and the DPDP Rules, 2025. Where the breach also constitutes a reportable cybersecurity incident, we will notify CERT-In within the time required under the CERT-In Directions, 2022.
7. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- access a summary of the personal data we process about you and with whom it has been shared;
- correct, complete, update or erase your personal data;
- withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing, as easily as it was given;
- nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity;
- grievance redressal — to complain to us first, and thereafter to the Data Protection Board of India if you are not satisfied with our response.
You may also use in-product account deactivation or deletion where available, subject to blocks for active gigs, disputes or unpaid payouts.
To exercise these rights, contact the officer named in Section 12. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
This Policy is available in English and will be made available in any language specified in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution of India on request.
8. Cookies

9. Children
The Platform is intended for users aged 18 and above. Age is self-declared at signup. We do not knowingly collect personal data of children. If we become aware that we hold a child's personal data, we will delete it and close the account.
10. Marketing
Marketing emails are controlled by your notification and marketing preference in the product and are not required as part of accepting these legal policies.
